The American Accounting Association (AAA) would like to congratulate Dan Amiram, Zahn Bozanic, and Ethan Rouen as recipients of the 2017 Deloitte Foundation Wildman Medal Award.

Prof. Fabrizio Ferri’s paper with CBS doctoral student Yuan Zou was accepted for presentation at the 2017 Conference on the Convergence of Financial and Managerial Accounting Research to be held on June 19-21, 2017 at Banff National Park, Canada (https://haskayne.ucalgary.ca/CFMA). Title of paper: “Uncertainty in Managers’ Reporting Objectives and Investors’ Response to Earnings Reports: Evidence from the 2006 Executive Compensation Disclosures.”

FASB (the Financial Accounting Standards Board) announced that among the five new members of its Investor Advisory Committee is the Columbia Business School Accounting Division’s Professor of Professional Practice, Trevor Harris.

Professor Fabrizio Ferri was selected as editor of the journal Contemporary Accounting Research.

A paper co-authored by Jonathan Glover, the James L. Dohr Professor of Accounting, has won 2016 Accounting Horizons Best Paper Award. The award is presented by the American Accounting Association (AAA) to the best paper published in the calendar year.
