In collaboration with the Samberg Institute, the Dean's Office invites faculty to submit proposals for the Empowering Learning Through EdTech: RFP. This initiative seeks to streamline educational technology innovation at CBS by providing a formal process for reviewing and supporting projects. We aim to ensure proposals are submitted early enough for adequate preparation and deployment in upcoming courses.
Faculty across all disciplines and subject areas are encouraged to propose projects that explore new educational technologies for all course types at CBS. While not all projects will require funding, the Dean's Office will provide financial support where necessary to facilitate implementation.
Proposals should focus on improving teaching practices, enhancing student learning outcomes, and assessing the impact and effectiveness of the proposed innovations. The Samberg Institute will collaborate with ITG to provide in-kind support for project design, instructional design, training, custom software development, and evaluation based on the needs of the proposal.
In this cycle, we particularly encourage faculty to explore the integration of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into their courses. Proposals that investigate the use of AI to enrich teaching and learning are highly encouraged.
To ensure the success of your project, we recommend scheduling a consultation with the Samberg Institute to develop your project plan and determine the necessary support. An early consultation is essential for projects involving software development or new media. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions or to arrange a meeting.
