William A. von Mueffling ’95
William von Mueffling is President of Cantillon Capital Management, an investment firm with $18 billion under management. Mr. von Mueffling was previously Managing Director of Lazard Asset Management responsible for hedge funds. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. von Mueffling was with Deutsche Bank in Germany and France. He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Columbia College. He is a member of Columbia Business School’s Board as well as Chair of the Business School’s Advisory Board of the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd. He also sits on the board of visitors of Columbia College and founded whoisontheballot.org, a non-partisan civic engagement program of Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Head of the board of RIP Medical Debt, he has sat on numerous not for profit boards and was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Buckley School in New York City until 2016. He currently chairs the investment committee for the American Academy of Berlin.
