Angela Quintero
Angela Quintero is an adjunct faculty and Managing Director of the W. Edwards Deming Center for Quality, Productivity, and Competitiveness. The center promotes operational excellence in business through the development of research, best practices, and strategic planning by sponsoring applied research, focused education and professional development initiatives, disseminating best practices, and fostering partnerships with companies in the area of operational excellence.
Angela also co-directs the Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness programs for Latin America (ECLA) and for Africa (EC Africa), two initiatives at CBS that equip entrepreneurs from mid-sized companies with the skills, tools, and network to professionalize and grow their businesses in today’s global environment.
Prior to joining the Business School in August 2013, Angela worked for Booz Allen Hamilton in the operations practice in the U.S. and Europe, and as a director for Global Intelligence Alliance in Hong Kong. In 2003, Angela founded her own entrepreneurial venture distributing imported flowers from South America throughout Europe.
Angela holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia, an M.S. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and an M.S. in Management Science Engineering from Stanford University. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, she is trilingual in Spanish, French and English, and lives in New York with her husband and three young kids.
