Daisy Wademan Dowling

Daisy Dowling is a human capital practitioner and executive coach. Her work focuses on maximizing individual and organizational performance in demanding, high-stakes contexts. She has a particular specialty in helping executives “get to the next level” in their careers by leveraging their authentic leadership styles and while creating balanced and sustainable lives. Her clients include leading, diverse organizations such as KKR, Carlyle, Davis Polk, Dow Jones, Boston Consulting Group, Pfizer, CHANEL, Omnicom, the NBA, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the U.S. Air Force.
Prior to starting her own practice, Daisy served as Managing Director and as the first Global Head of Talent Development for Blackstone. She writes regularly for the Harvard Business Review, for which she created and wrote a column on CEO-level leadership, “The Best Advice I Ever Got.” She is also the author of two books; the most recent, Workparent, is a comprehensive manual for committed professionals with caregiving responsibilities. She has also published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Fast Company, and the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Sunday Times (UK), and on National Public Radio.
Daisy earned her B.A. from Brown University and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
