Rachel L. Rubenstein
Since 2015, Rachel has led an Executive Coaching practice with cross-industry clientele, empowering individuals and teams to drive greater impact through enhanced leadership capabilities, including confidence and presence, communication and presentation skills, and effective stakeholder management. Rachel has coached clients ranging from formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs to United States presidential candidates.
In her years at Goldman Sachs, Rachel worked full time as an executive coach within the Pine Street leadership development and advisory group. She supported firm business leaders in their endeavor to enhance leadership effectiveness, navigate transitions, drive culture change, and engage clients in innovative ways. An advocate for engaging and developing diverse leaders, Rachel spearheaded a series of “Communicating with Impact” workshops for Global Banking and Markets female Managing Directors and Partners, as well as their female clients. The workshops received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with participants (internal and external) describing them as “highly applicable, content rich, and fun,” where “everyone felt comfortable being vulnerable, giving and receiving honest, tailored, and actionable feedback which you don’t get often enough in real life;” “hands down one of the best client events,” and “would absolutely recommend.” In addition to her client work, Rachel partners with renowned learning institutions as instructor, facilitator, and collaborative program designer. At present, she serves as an adjunct professor of the Leadership and Communication course, “The Leader’s Voice,” at Columbia Business School. Along with performing artists and faculty from Juilliard, Rachel designs and facilitates customized performing arts-based professional development programs for clients through “Juilliard at Work.” She has also served as an instructor of Negotiation and Conflict Resolution courses at Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
Rachel’s early career as a professionally trained actor, with work across theater, TV, and film, combined with her experience in both academia and corporate settings supporting a wide array of clients, contributes to her unique coaching style.
She holds a Masters degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard, a graduate certificate in Executive Coaching from Columbia University, and a Bachelors degree in American Studies and Sociology from Kenyon College.
