More than 800 business leaders and prominent alumni from around the world attended the School’s 30th Annual Dinner on May 1. Held at the Waldorf-Astoria, the traditional home of the dinner, the event raised $2.3 million.
“Tonight’s dinner exemplifies Columbia Business School's network, which connects academia to industry,” said Dean Glenn Hubbard. “It’s exciting to be in a room full of business leaders, alumni and faculty who were sharing thoughts and ideas on today's business challenges.”
Honorees Sidney Taurel ’71, chairman and CEO of Eli Lilly and Company, and Robert B. Zoellick, deputy secretary of state, received the School’s Distinguished Leadership Award for business and government, respectively. Jerome A. Chazen ’50, founder and chairman of Chazen Capital Partners and chair of this year’s dinner, welcomed the honorees and guests.
