Moving away from the hype of the dot-com era, the Columbia Entrepreneur’s Organization is hosting its first annual conference, Entrepreneurship 101: Back to Basics. Students will have the opportunity to meet and learn from successful entrepreneurs across a number of sectors including entertainment, retail and the Internet.
Alumnus Adam Slutsky ’87, cofounder of MovieFone, will provide the event’s keynote address. Additional speakers include Betty Wong ’82, CEO and president of CEO Global Resources; David Anthony, founder of Notorious magazine and managing director of Venturefuse Partners; Donatella Giacometti, founder and CEO of Ten Second World, Inc.; and Edwin A. Goodman ’79, cofounder of Milestone Venture Partners.
