Chaney Matos

Chaney Matos is Director of Administration in the Dean’s Office at Columbia Business School. Working closely with the Vice Dean of Administration and COO, she supports a range of strategic and operational priorities focused on ensuring the School’s administration runs efficiently, effectively, and with the overall experience of the Business School community in mind.

Chaney brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration. Prior to joining Columbia Business School, she worked at Fordham University as an Undergraduate Administrator, providing comprehensive administrative support to the English Department at Lincoln Center. She also spent nine years at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she served as an Office Manager.

Chaney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Fordham University in 2020 and her Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College in 2022. She is also a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and a commissioned New York State Notary Public.

A proud Bronx native and first-generation college graduate, Chaney’s strengths include streamlining processes, coordinating complex administrative initiatives, and anticipating the needs of senior leadership.
