Curriculum Vitae

Hannah Li is an Assistant Professor in the Decision, Risk, and Operations division at Columbia Business School. Her research focuses on developing data science methods for social systems--marketplaces, education systems, and online platforms. Her research combines techniques from operations research, statistics, and economics to develop theoretical insights for practically motivated problems. She informs her work with industry experience, working for and collaborating with large online platforms. Her work has received several awards, including Best Student Paper award at ACM Conference on Equity and Access in Algorithms, Mechanisms, and Optimization (EAAMO) and 2nd place in the INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Student Paper Award.

Hannah received her Ph.D. in operations research from the Management Science and Engineering department at Stanford University and worked as a postdoctoral associate at MIT. She graduated from Pomona College with an undergraduate degree in mathematics.
