Laurent Ganem '86
G Square is Europe’s first private equity firm dedicated exclusively to healthcare investments. Its Founder and CEO, Laurent Ganem, brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare private equity, with a track record spanning mid-market buyouts and growth investments across biotech, medtech, and healthcare services.
Laurent began his career at Baxter International in Chicago before joining Apax Partners in Paris as a Partner in 1994. At Apax, he built and led the firm’s healthcare investment practice for 13 years, investing across the full spectrum from early-stage ventures to large buyouts.
In 2008, he founded G Square to focus on mid-market healthcare buyouts in Europe. Under his leadership, the firm has grown to over €2.5 billion in AUM across six funds.
Laurent serves as Chairman of The Chazen Global Advisory Board at Columbia Business School. He holds an MD from the University of Paris (1983) and an MBA from Columbia Business School (1986).
