Jesse Gale is the Vice Dean of Communications and Public Affairs in the Office of the Dean, where she supports the goals and priorities set by the Dean.
Prior to joining CBS, Jesse served as Chief Communications Officer at Bryn Mawr College, Associate Dean for Communications and External Relations at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and as a director at Columbia’s Office of Alumni and Development. She has extensive experience in communications, constituency engagement, and higher education.
Glamis has extensive experience with microenterprises and business lending, global trade consulting, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and Community Development Credit Unions (CDCUs). Before joining the Columbia-Harlem SBDC, she worked as the Lending and Business Development Manager at Union Settlement Federal Credit Union. In this position, she coordinated the activities of service organizations, financial institutions, federal, and state programs related to small business lending supported by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and CDIFs.
Lawrence King is a Small Business Advisor at the Columbia-Harlem SBDC where he provides one-on-one counseling and technical assistance to business owners and emerging entrepreneurs. He has over 25 years of experience in the economic and small business development fields. His long career includes stints as Director of Small Business Development at the Abyssinian Development Corporation, Director of Programs at the North Carolina Assn. of Community Development Corporations and as a Director for Economic Development for the City of Newark.
Pat Lilly is Senior Program Manager in the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). She works with the Managing Director, and she is responsible for managing Special Programs for the SBDC and coordinating Columbia Business School’s community facing programs and initiatives. Pat joined Columbia University in March 2015. Prior to her current role at the Business School, she was Senior Manager, Community Engagement at The Forum/Office of the President. She was also a Program Coordinator in the Facilities & Operations’ Strategic Communications Dept.
Sandra Madera is a Senior Associate Director for Programming and Outreach responsible for operations in the Small Business Development Center. Sandra works with the Assistant Dean toward annual objectives and fulfilling the Center's mission of serving entrepreneurs and creating new businesses. She started at Columbia University in July 2005.
