Bruce Craven
Bruce Craven teaches across the portfolio for executive education, including serving as Faculty Director and running leadership development programs. His teaching focuses on resilience, emotional intelligence, leadership communication and flexible thinking. He also teaches his popular graduate school management elective Leadership Through Fiction. Craven has taught leadership to global audiences of business executives for twenty years.
Concurrent with his work in executive education, Bruce works as a writer in both fiction and non-fiction. His non-fiction book Win or Die: Leadership Secrets from Game of Thrones, was republished by Codhill Press in 2023. The book was first published by St. Martin’s Press (Macmillan) in March 2019, and was translated into Turkish, Serbian and Russian. Craven also co-wrote the Columbia Business School case -- Handling Change at Ferguson: The Credit Function. His most recent novel, set in NYC in the Nineties – Sweet Ride – was published by Codhill Press in 2019. He also published a collection of poetry, Buena Suerte in Red Glitter, in 2019 with Red Dirt Press in Oklahoma. His earlier fiction has been translated into Japanese and German.
Bruce received his MFA in Poetry from Columbia School of the Arts, and has two BA degrees in Politics (with Honors) and English from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
He lives with his wife and sons in the Coachella Valley in California.
