Christophe Le Caillec

Mr. Le Caillec was named Chief Financial Officer of American Express in August 2023. He oversees the company's financial operations worldwide and is a member of the American Express Executive Committee. As an officer of the company, he plays an important role in developing the strategic direction for American Express and represents the company to the financial community.

Prior to being named CFO of American Express, Mr. Le Caillec was Deputy CFO. In this role, he partnered closely with the Executive Committee to drive the company’s financial performance and also led the Corporate Planning team, as well as Risk, Technology, and Global Services Group Finance functions. Mr. Le Caillec joined American Express in 1997 and has held several global business roles in Paris, Sydney, Singapore, London, and, most recently, New York. Recent roles include CFO for the American Express Global Consumer Business, where he led teams across 10 different countries and managed all financial aspects of the Consumer business.

Mr. Le Caillec, a native of France, holds a Master’s in Management from Audencia Graduate Business School.
