Joe Timko
Joe's career has been focused on consulting, B2B technology, and software. He is a former partner of McKinsey & Company and Chief Strategy Officer. He currently serves on the boards of PlanetiQ, a weather satellite company, VUV Analytics, a gas chromatography company, and BrightVolt, a battery technology company. He is Board Chair of Navicore Solutions, a consumer-debt counseling non-profit. He is an Executive in Residence and Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia Business School where he teaches courses on decision-making and consulting. He received the 2022 Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence.
As a Partner of McKinsey & Company, his work focused on telecom communications equipment and services, IT software and services, industrial controls, and chemicals. He was Chief Strategy Officer for both ADP and Pitney Bowes where he was also Chief Technology Officer. He started his career at Bell Laboratories doing software development and product management for high-availability, embedded data transport systems.
Joe received an MBA from The Wharton School. He also received a Master of Science degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech, both in computer and electrical engineering.
