Sofia Pontigo Marin
Sofía Pontigo holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the University of Chile. She was a teaching assistant and grader in numerous undergraduate and graduate courses during her studies and began working as a research assistant immediately after obtaining her engineering degree. Sofía has participated in both private and public research, and her current main research interests are women's rights and migration. In the future, she hopes to study issues of violence that severely impact the lives of girls and women, such as human trafficking, sexual exploitation, child marriage, and female genital mutilation.
