Matt Dwyer is Vice President of Product Footprint at Patagonia, where he leads global efforts to integrate environmental and social responsibility into product creation, sourcing, and business strategy. Based in Ventura, California, Matt is responsible for advancing Patagonia’s work on climate action, circularity, regenerative agriculture, supply chain transparency, and product sustainability.
With a background in materials science and more than two decades of experience spanning product development, manufacturing, and sustainability leadership, Matt focuses on transforming complex environmental challenges into practical, scalable solutions. His work includes helping Patagonia reduce greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain, expand regenerative and preferred materials, grow repair and resale programs, and strengthen accountability through environmental impact measurement and reporting.
Matt believes that lasting climate progress requires collaboration across industries, organizations, and supply chains. He regularly works with brands, manufacturers, NGOs, and industry coalitions to accelerate solutions that can drive systemic change beyond any single company.
