Pierantonio D’Elia
Pierantonio D’Elia is a Counsellor at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, where he has been responsible for Competition and Justice policies since 2024. Before his posting in Washington, he served at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition in Brussels, focusing on merger policy in the digital sector, as well as on cross-cutting strategic coordination and Commission priorities. Prior to joining the European Commission, Pierantonio worked for several years in private practice for a U.S. law firm in their antitrust and litigation practices in Brussels and Rome. He holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a Ph.D. in European Law from the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” a Master’s degree in European Studies from the Free University of Brussels and a J.D. from the University of Bari (Italy).
