Scott Meyer '14*
Scott brings over 20 years of experience investing in and managing real estate across multiple asset classes as well as starting a real estate investment fund and development business.
Scott co-founded and was a Managing Principal of PTM Partners, which was launched in 2018 following the creation of the Opportunity Zone program under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Over seven years, the company grew to over $250 million equity under management across nearly 200 investors. That capital was invested into nine separate development projects in the Washington metropolitan area and Florida with a total capitalization exceeding $1.5 billion.
Prior to co-founding PTM Partners, Scott served as Director of Acquisitions & Capital Markets at LeFrak from 2014 to 2018, where he led acquisitions and asset management activities in South Florida while supporting the firm's capital markets initiatives across multiple states. He secured more than $1 billion in financing during his tenure and managed the complex restructuring and recapitalization of SoLé Mia, an 184-acre mixed-use development in North Miami.
Scott began his real estate career at Hines in Washington, D.C., where he served as Property Manager for 1200 Nineteenth Street NW, a 334,000 SF Class A office building that achieved a record-breaking sale of $880 per square foot.
He earned his MBA in Real Estate and Finance from Columbia Business School in 2014, where he was recognized as a Real Estate Circle Fellow and currently serves on the Real Estate Circle Alumni Board. He holds a BA in History and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated with Honors.
Scott lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Sarah, and daughters, Lainey and Charlotte.
