Christopher Schwarz
Christopher Schwarz is a Visiting Professor of Finance at the Columbia Business School. He is also currently a Professor of Finance at the University of California, Irvine where he also serves as the Faculty Director of the Center for Investment and Wealth Management. He studies the behavior of retail investors, retail market structure, and the management, disclosure, and operational risk of the investment fund industry. Recent work that examines price execution at various retail brokers was featured in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, and Barron’s and on CNBC’s Squawk Box.
Chris teaches the core finance class in the part-time and executive MBA programs at UC Irvine where he has won over a dozen best teaching awards. He also provides a number of economic and financial forecasts in the community as well as to Fortune 500 companies.
