Mirit Lugassi is an Investor at Laconia, where she leads investments into early stage founders with a focus on applied AI and specialized software. Based in New York City, she has experince across fintech, edtech, and social impact.

Mirit brings more than 10 years of experience building and transforming venture backed companies across the US, Europe, Israel, and the UK. At DueDil (acquired), she served as Head of Growth & Customer Success, leading strategies that drove 10× average order value, 7× ICP ARR, and a 44% increase in customer retention. She also served as interim VP of Customer Operations at a high growth edtech startup, where she built a fully distributed team, accelerated monthly customer acquisition 5×, and supported a $5M Series A close within 90 days. Earlier in her career, she held commercial roles in capital markets at Thomson Reuters Financial & Risk.

Driven to back innovative founders and mission aligned solutions, Mirit later pivoted into venture investing, helping build two platforms: 51 Unicorns, an investment club aimed at female retail investors, and SeedImpact, an alternative investment firm connecting mission driven angel investors with underrepresented founders.

Mirit holds a Bachelor of Laws and Economics from Tel Aviv University, an MBA and is a qualified lawyer in the state of New York.
