Christos Koutsoyannis
Christos Koutsoyannis is the Chief Investment Officer of Atlas Ridge Capital, an emerging quant hedge fund focusing on alternative data and mid-horizon quantitative strategies. Prior to Atlas Ridge, Christos was a Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein in NY, a Senior Portfolio Manager at State Street Global Advisors in London, and the Deputy Head of Quant Research at Old Mutual Asset Managers in London (now Jupiter Asset Management).
He sits on the Executive Advisory Board of Columbia Business School’s Program for Financial Studies and Masters in Financial Economics (MSFE), and is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU Courant. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Society of Quantitative Analysts (SQA) since 2013, is a recent Past President of the SQA, and the founder of alphathon.org. He Chairs the Data Science and Quantitative Investment group at CFA New York, is on the Program Committee of CFA NY, and is also the winner of the CFA New York 2024 Research Award and the CFA NY 2026 Ben Graham Distinguished Award. He also Chairs Trinity in New York, the Trinity College, Cambridge alumni association in New York.
Christos holds a BA Hons Economics from the University of Cambridge in the UK, and a PhD in Financial Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
