Headshot Aman Johal

Aman Johal is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School with prior experience at The Carlyle Group, where he supported the U.S. buyout platform across portfolio monitoring and forecasting, valuation, and fund-level financing strategy, including the execution of a  GP-facilitated tender offer.

Through the PE Program Field Study at CBS, Aman interned at Harborwell Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, where he supported a live transaction through financial modeling, diligence coordination, and investment memo preparation.

I have been actively involved in the private equity ecosystem at Columbia. My most tangible contribution has been through serving as an AVP of Conferences for the Private Equity Club. This winter, I helped organize programming for the CBS Private Equity Conference by facilitating the Fundraising and Investor Relations panel. Through this, and the many other industry touchpoints at CBS, I have gained a deep appreciation of investing in private markets and the range of perspectives that shape how capital is raised, deployed, and managed.
