Greg Chalfin `26
Greg Chalfin began his career in private investing at Brookfield in their Private Equity group, where he executed over $20 billion of transactions across industries and worked closely with portfolio company executives to shape strategy and drive long-term value creation.
At Brookfield, he gained hands-on experience leading diligence, building financial and operating models, and coordinating cross-functional workstreams on large-scale deals. More recently, he expanded his investing skillset in public equities at Point72 and Sender Company, where he analyzed technology and services businesses through rigorous, data-driven fundamental research, developed differentiated investment theses, and delivered top-performing trades.
This experience strengthened his analytical and thematic investing skills and helped confirmed his passion for investing (deeply evaluating businesses, understanding secular trends, and working with management teams to create enduring value) and why he is focused on returning to private equity.

My time at CBS has been defined by a deep engagement with Columbia's broader private equity community, from serving on the boards of the Private Equity Club and Columbia's Student Investment Management Association to working as a Teaching Assistant for the Private Equity Field Study and Capstone courses. These experiences, along with my in-semester internship at Amstead Group, a newly launched private equity fund, have allowed me to both sharpen my investing skills and build lasting connections with peers and industry professionals.
