Marc Knapp '27

Private Equity Fellow Class of 2027
Private Equity Program
Marc Knapp headshot

Marc Knapp is an MBA candidate - Class of 2027 - at Columbia Business School with experience across investment banking, strategy consulting, tech-focused investing, and entrepreneurship. At Accenture, he spent four years advising C-suite executives on large-scale data center and digital transformation initiatives - building the operational instincts that now inform how he evaluates businesses. He has since gained capital markets experience in private assets through roles at Hanover Square Partners and The Riverside Company. He is leveraging his real estate investing background and experience consulting for Fortune 500 tech companies to advise on the capex super cycle supporting the build-out of the physical infrastructure of AI. Through his consulting and capital markets experience Marc has helped clients adopt AI to boost efficiency and has built AI agents to automate professional services tasks.

What draws me to PE is the chance to combine the operator mindset I built at Accenture - working alongside executives to transform multibillion dollar enterprises - with the analytical rigor I've developed on the capital markets side, including financial modeling work that deepened my understanding of how capital structure shapes outcomes. In consulting, I could help design the strategy. In banking, I could help structure the deal. Private equity is where both come together - and where you're accountable for what happens after the close.
