Monique Co is a second-year MBA candidate at Columbia Business School with five years of private equity experience in the Philippines. Before Columbia, she was an Investment Associate at Navegar, a leading Philippine-focused private equity firm. In this role, she worked across the investment lifecycle, from evaluating investment opportunities across consumer, healthcare, and industrials sectors to leading the exit process of a portfolio company. This past summer, she interned with the private equity team at Z Capital Group (ZCG) in New York.

They say one of the advantages of being at Columbia is its proximity to Wall Street. It’s true. Through the PE Breakfast Series, I’ve learned from and connected with alumni working in PE across various sectors and investment strategies. 

The PE Fellows (my class, and prior classes) have also been a supportive community and a great resource. Finally, company visits organized by the PE Club have given me a closer look at firms’ distinct investment approaches, track records, and deals.
