Tom Nguyen `27

Tom Nguyen is an experienced Private Equity professional. Tom has worked at two Private Equity firms including Argand Partners and 8 Pillars Capital in NYC. He is currently pursuing his MBA at Columbia Business School. Tom started his career in Investment Banking at Jefferies & Company. He is a graduate (with distinction) from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

I have enjoyed my journey at Columbia Business School (CBS) so far. Prior to CBS, I have worked in Private Equity (PE) before. My experience at CBS has helped me strengthened my existing skill set in PE through the PE Field Study experience and other PE classes in the PE Fellows Program. 

In term of community involvement, I was an AVP and then VP in the PE Club, in charge of hosting events on campus. Furthermore, I also really enjoy the PE Breakfast series on Thursdays each week where I have had a chance to interact with alumni of CBS in the PE industry. Overall, attending CBS has been a great boost for my education and career.
