The MBA Real Estate Program Advisory Board plays an active, participatory role in helping shape and guide real estate education at the business school. In its advisory capacity, the board serves as a valuable resource for the faculty director in constantly keeping the real estate curriculum current, expanding employment opportunities for real estate MBA students, offering constructive advice on development outreach, and ensuring that the school benefits to full advantage from the knowledge and experience that its alumni have to offer. The existence of the board also provides an opportunity to bring alumni and New York real estate professionals closer to the program and its activities. Board members serve as tireless champions of the program among alumni and with their peer groups.
The makeup of the Real Estate Program's Advisory Board is meant to represent a cross-section of the Columbia Business School real estate alumni base as well as the real estate industry as represented by the school's advantageous location in New York City. Board members are leaders and entrepreneurs in their respective areas of real estate activity. While the heaviest concentration is in finance and investment, which mirrors the focus of our program and position in New York, the roster has depth in development and representation in social enterprise real estate.
