Angie Lee
Angie Lee is the Director of Learning Platforms and Innovation at the Samberg Institute for Teaching Excellence. She provides leadership and strategic planning around educational technologies to support in-person, hybrid, and online learning at Columbia Business School (CBS).
She has over 15 years of experience working in higher education and in the educational design field. She is passionate about helping faculty design engaging and effective learning experiences grounded in research on how students learn. This includes leveraging the purposeful use of learning platforms and emerging technologies. Prior to joining CBS, Angie served as the Team Lead, Senior Educational Designer at New York University where she led a team of educational designers working on course design projects, teaching consultations, teaching observations, pedagogy workshops and the creation of teaching support materials.
Previously, Angie also served as a Learning Designer at Columbia University’s Center for Teaching and Learning, where she was the lead project manager responsible for the design and development of various dental, nursing, and public health grant-funded online educational websites and modules.
Angie holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego and an M.A. in Instructional Systems Development from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
