Kim is an accomplished event strategy and operations leader with over a decade of experience designing and executing high-profile events at Columbia University. As Executive Director of Events at Columbia Business School, she oversees the school’s centralized event planning process, aligning strategy with institutional goals while building policies, training, and resources that empower event hosts across the community.

Throughout her career, Kim has managed marquee university ceremonies, international delegations, and dignitary visits—including commencement, the World Leaders Forum, and served as a key logistics member for the launch of Columbia University’s Global Center in Rio de Janeiro. She brings expertise in venue management, large-scale logistics, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement, and has coordinated closely with the U.S. Secret Service and Columbia’s Public Safety department to ensure the seamless execution of complex, high-stakes events.

Previously, Kim served in senior roles within Columbia’s Office of the President and the Facilities & Operations department, where she honed her skills in cross-campus coordination, client services, and operational excellence.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management from Indiana University and joined Columbia in 2011 upon graduation. Known for her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and commitment to creating meaningful experiences, she is passionate about fostering community and advancing institutional impact through events.
