Support the 1916 Challenge

In 2026, Columbia Business School celebrates a historic milestone: 110 years since its founding in 1916. To honor this legacy and invest in the School’s future, alumni and friends are invited to participate in the 1916 Challenge, a leadership giving initiative that celebrates the past, strengthens the present, and helps shape the future of business.

Taking place March 10–11, the 1916 Challenge brings the CBS community together around a shared goal: advancing the Columbia Business School Annual Fund through leadership-level support. Donors who make a gift of $10,000 or more will be recognized as members of the Hermes Leadership Society, joining a dedicated group of supporters committed to sustaining excellence at CBS.

The goal of the 1916 Challenge is to inspire 110 donors to make gifts of $10,000 or more in honor of the School’s 110th anniversary. Together, these leadership commitments will demonstrate the strength and pride of the CBS community while helping ensure that Columbia Business School continues to thrive for generations to come.

Join us in celebrating 110 years of developing business leaders.
