Content Submission Policy

  • Include content name, date, time, location, QR code (if applicable), and any other key information.
  • Submit all requests via the Hive form at least 72 hours before the desired posting date.
  • For student requests, we will confirm with OSA before posting. This may require an additional 24 hours.
  • Requests submitted late may not be guaranteed for timely display.

Graphic & Video Requirements

  • Canva Templates: Please use CBS-branded templates whenever possible
  • Dimensions: 1920 x 1080px (Screen graphics)
  • Format: JPG or PNG for images, MP4 for videos
  • Video Notes: Videos will play without audio, so captions are required. Videos should be 1 minute or less.
  • For special cases that require multiple screens, please contact us to discuss options and support.

Step-by-Step Guide: Creating CBS Content in Canva

Using a Template

  1. Log in to Canva (use the CBS shared account if provided).
  2. In the search bar, enter “(ex: Name of Screen template)” or browse (ex. Screen Temp Folder) for approved designs.
  3. Update content:
    • Replace placeholder text with event name, date, time, location, QR code (if applicable), and key info.
    • Swap speaker photos/headshots if needed.
  4. Maintain CBS color palette and fonts.
  5. Export the file as JPG or PNG for static images or MP4 for videos.
  6. Save and upload your request form to Hive.

Creating a New Graphic (Matching CBS Dimensions)

  1. Log in to Canva and click “Create a Design” > Custom Size.
  2. Enter dimensions: 1920 px (width) x 1080 px (height).
  3. Use CBS-approved fonts and colors
  4. Add text boxes for event name, date, location, and other key info.
  5. Insert speaker headshots, logos, or QR codes where applicable.
  6. Keep the design clean and professional with minimal text.
  7. Export in JPG/PNG/MP4 as appropriate.
