Nicole DeHoratius is an expert in operations and supply chains, earning several awards for her research in this domain (M&SOM Best Paper and Ralph Gomory Best Industry Study). She leads the Tamer Institute for Social Enterprise and Climate Change’s Sustainable Operations Initiative, advancing the way work gets done to ensure a sustainable future, with a specific emphasis on operating practices in retail and consumer good supply chains.
During her 25-year career, Nicole taught operations management, service operations, and supply chain management to executives in programs and companies around the globe. A two-time recipient of the Rotman School of Management Teaching Award, she is known for exemplifying the characteristics students value most in their professors.
Nicole served as the president of the Production and Operations Management Society's (POMS) College of Supply Chain Management, the co-director the POMS Practice Leader Forum, and as a member of the POMS board. Her editorial roles include associate editor for M&SOM, department editor for POM, and associate editor for JOM.
Nicole received her DBA from Harvard Business School, her MSc from the University of Sussex as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, and her AB, magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
