Donald R. Lehmann, George E. Warren Professor of Business, is completing 50 years on the faculty of Columbia Business School and his colleagues and collaborators from near and far celebrated this milestone on May 10-11, 2019, by holding a mini-conference on the Columbia campus.
At Professor Lehmann’s request, the conference looked at the past, present and future of research in areas that have been central to his scholarship: Branding, Consumer Behavior, Customer Management, Marketing Strategy, Metrics and Measurement, and New Products. All of the sessions can be found on youtube Following an opening address by Professor Jacob Goldenberg of IDC Herzliya, “Six Degrees of Separation from Don,” colleagues and collaborators from the first four research areas presented on the topics. Each session concluded with a panel discussion.
In the evening of May 10, friends and family members joined in the celebration for some proper toasting and roasting of “Coach” during a reception and dinner at Faculty House. The festivities concluded with two final research area presentations in the morning of May 11.
