Jacopo Perego is an Associate Professor in the Economics Division at Columbia Business School. His research specializes in the economics of information. He studies how information can be designed to influence agents’ behavior—for instance, via rating systems and grading policies. He also studies information markets, including the news-media industry and markets for personal data. His work has been published in academic journals including Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, and the Review of Economic Studies. Prior to joining Columbia, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Cowles Foundation, Yale University. Professor Perego received his PhD in Economics from New York University.
