Describe what you do.
I am the CEO and Chief Marketing Officer of Extrovertic, a healthcare communications consulting firm that helps healthcare marketers drive business in a multi-channel world. We provide marketing plans, multi-channel plans and content marketing.
How did you become interested in Healthcare? What drew you in?
I wanted to have more of an impact on people's lives than I was working on Old Spice Aftershave marketing team.
What do you enjoy most about your career or position?
I like knowing that if I can say just the right thing at the right time, I might just motivate a patient to take steps that can save their life.
How has your CBS experience influenced your career?
CBS gave me direction. I still remember listening to a General Foods product manager, on dog food no less, describe his job and I thought, "that's what I want to do, product management!
What is your favorite CBS memory, such as a favorite professor, spot on campus, or social event?
I remember the passion and energy of my marketing professors: Noel Capon, Don Lehman and Don Sexton.
As a leader in healthcare, what qualities do you look for when hiring new MBA graduates?
The number one quality is DRIVE. I can teach anybody anything, but I can't supply the inner energy of a true go-getter.
