The Healthcare Industry Association (HCIA) is one of the largest and most active student organizations at CBS. Membership continues to expand (currently 200+) which reflects growing student interest in pursuing a career in healthcare career.
HCIA works closely with the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management Program to bring renowned speakers to campus to expose students to a range of healthcare topics and issues. The organization provides opportunities for students to network with each other, alumni in healthcare, and other high-level executives in the field.
HCIA helps students throughout the recruiting process, educating them on the companies that recruit at Columbia, providing 2nd-year students to advise 1st-year students, and creating an HCIA resume book that is distributed to recruiters. After students graduate, they become part of the larger HCIA network, keeping close and lasting ties to the school community.
