NEW YORK - Columbia Business School Executive Education is proud to announce the Chief Marketing Officer Program for senior marketing professionals who seek to advance their careers and take on leadership roles in their organizations. The program is being launched in collaboration with Emeritus, a global leader in making high-quality education accessible and affordable. According to a recent Accenture report, 90 percent of organizations view the chief marketing officer (CMO) as the connective tissue between different lines of business. Customer experience is a key competitive advantage and today’s CMO can drive the customer agenda by leveraging technology and collaborating across functions to deliver business success.
The Chief Marketing Officer Program from Columbia Business School Executive Education is designed to address this imminent need for strategic marketing leaders. The program emphasizes customer centricity, brand marketing, and data analytics to help participants execute effective marketing strategies for a seamless customer experience across digital and traditional touchpoints. The flexible format enables participants to craft the program based on their learning goals, with an immersive core curriculum to broaden their skill set and a choice of online and in-person electives to further deepen their expertise. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from renowned faculty, leading industry experts, and high-achieving global peers.
Oded Netzer, Arthur J. Samberg Professor of Business at Columbia Business School, who leads the faculty for this program, notes that the curriculum addresses critical issues facing marketing leaders today.
"Over the duration of the program, participants will examine analytical cases based on real-world marketing and business issues and find innovative solutions through experiential learning. The Chief Marketing Officer Program from Columbia Business School Executive Education will equip participants with the frameworks and practical insights required to formulate their organizations’ future marketing road map," says Netzer.
The program comprises three core modules spanning 18 weeks and two electives of six weeks each. In addition, participants get the opportunity to take one open-enrollment elective and opt to complete it on the Columbia Business School campus or take it live online. It concludes with a three-day graduation and networking event on the School’s campus in New York City.
"The modern CMO’s focus has expanded beyond advertising and communications to encompass data-driven strategy, digitalization, and revenue generation. Emeritus is delighted to partner with Columbia Business School Executive Education in helping senior marketing professionals build the skill set necessary to take on leadership roles and make a significant impact in their organizations," says Lisa Rohrer, head of university partnerships at Emeritus.
The nine-month program is priced at US $28,000, which includes teaching fees, all academic material, and access to online coursework. The program starts on September 20, 2021 and is open for enrollment through Emeritus.
