Linda Green, the Cain Brothers & Company Professor of Healthcare Management, has been appointed faculty director of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management (HPM) Program, effective immediately.
Green joined Columbia Business School in 1978 as an assistant professor in the Decision, Risk, and Operations Division, and she has served in various roles since then, including as senior vice dean from 1989–91. She has been involved with the HPM Program since its inception in 1996 and has shown tremendous commitment to its growth.
“Linda’s more than 20 years of research on hospital and healthcare operations has resulted in significant insights and impact on important, real-world issues — both for healthcare organizations and for patients,” said Dean Glenn Hubbard. “Her interests and expertise perfectly position her to continue her leadership role with the HPM Program.”
Working with Bunny Ellerin, director of the HPM Program, and Professor Cliff Cramer, Green will provide faculty perspective and direction for the program’s activities and curriculum. “Please join me in thanking Linda for her many years of involvement with the HPM Program and in congratulating her on this formal role,” the dean said.
