What We Do
The Private Equity Program serves as the Business School's primary point of contact with the private equity industry, unifying students, alumni, and the business community into a single network. The Program has an active advisory board, a calendar of events throughout the year, and several research projects.

The Business of Private Equity Program - January 2026
This intimate and intensive two-day program (January 29-30, 2026) brings together addresses these challenges by bringing together industry leaders from Vista Equity Partners, Arctos Partners, TPG, Advent International, and Blackstone to address the critical issues facing PE firm leaders today.
The Business of Private Equity program was designed for senior professionals who are stepping into or preparing for leadership roles within their firms. In today's challenging market, the firms that will thrive are those that professionalize themselves with the same rigor they apply to their portfolio companies.
KKR Case Competition
We invite current students to participate in the CBS/KKR Case Competition. As part of the competition, teams will identify and pitch a company as a Leveraged Buyout ("LBO") candidate and have the opportunity to present to an "Investment Committee" comprised of Executives at KKR.

Learn more about the Program's Annual Deal Camp
Deal Camp is a multi-day high-intensity learning event. A combination of interactive presentations and panels moderated by Columbia faculty feature a variety of private equity professionals and service providers in the industry all in an intimate setting. The event is held annually in Montauk each December.

Columbia Business School, in collaboration with Three Cairns Group and Level20 are delighted to have produced this report; the largest published dataset of US private equity investment professionals, tracking women’s representation across more than 600 firms.
