The Dean’s Office has announced the awardees of Columbia Business School’s inaugural Summer Research Program, which will run from May 27 to August 4, 2012.

DRO Professor Peter Kolesar won the Distinguished Service Award given by the Upper Delaware Council in recognition of his volunteer research on alleviating thermal stress to improve the habitat of Upper Delaware River fisheries.  

With the gift, Shin, the chairman of the Lotte Group and member of the School’s Board of Overseers, has established the Dong-Bin Shin Scholarship.

The Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate is pleased to congratulate Adjunct Professor J. Daniel Adkinson for receiving the 2012 Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence by Adjunct Faculty Member.

The conference “State Intervention and Private Enterprise: Japan, the U.S., and China” addressed state intervention in private enterprise, comparing recent and historical trends in the United States, China, and Japan. Speakers and discussants including Paul Milstein Professor of Real Estate Christopher J. Mayer addressed a broad range of topics relevant to the subject of intervention, including real estate finance.

Faculty and industry experts, including Professor Frederic Mishkin, discussed the idea at the March 13 event, organized with Intelligence Squared.

Deans from Columbia Business School and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, announced today that the Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA program will end in February 2013 when the current class graduates.
