The GBA Commendations were created to recognize students, faculty members, and staff members for outstanding contributions to the Columbia Business School community.

Each year, the Real Estate Association plans domestic and international trips to learn more about diverse real estate markets. International trips are co-sponsored by the Jerome A. Chazen Institute of International Business and the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate.

Each year the Center conducts a University-wide competition on behalf of the Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Scholarship Foundation and nominates one Columbia student to receive full tuition and some living expenses for a one-year program of undergraduate or graduate study in Japan. E. Ralph Biggadike, a Columbia Business School faculty member in the Management Division for 16 years, died on August 17.
