Ida Liu, Global Head of Citi Private Bank, shared valuable insights on how AI is transforming finance and wealth management during the prestigious Sir Gordon Wu Distinguished Speaker Forum, hosted by Columbia Business School’s Jerome A. Chazen Institute for Global Business.

In conversation with Lulu C. Wang ’83, Founder and CEO of Tupelo Capital Management, Liu highlighted that while AI is revolutionizing the industry, face-to-face interactions, emotional intelligence, and personalized service remain critical, especially in high-net-worth client relationships.

Liu oversees Citi’s private banking operations across 52 offices in 20 countries, delivering tailored wealth management solutions to ultra-high-net-worth families. Her dynamic leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Barron’s 10 Most Influential Women in Wealth Management, American Banker’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance, and Crain’s Most Notable Women on Wall Street.

This speaker series, alongside CBS’s Lulu Chow Wang Asian Business Leadership Program, fosters intercultural understanding between China and the CBS community while connecting students with exceptional Asian business leaders.
