September 20: Mr. Masamoto Yashiro presents "Japan's Problems and Emerging China: A Japanese Banker's Perspective"

The CJEB Working Paper Series has recently published three new installments.

From June 4-8, 2007, Professor Amir Ziv, Vice Dean and Professor of Accounting of Columbia Business School, and four other professors of leading U.S.business schools participated in the Keizai Koho Center Invitation Program.

May 29: the Program on Alternative Investments of CJEB presented a conference titled "Operational Restructuring: New Strategies of Japanese Corporate Leaders."

On April 4, 2007, CJEB co-sponsored the WEAI Policy Forum "Japan's UN Diplomacy and Security Council Reform" by Ambassador Kenzo Oshima, Permanent Representative of Japan to the United Nations.

On Thursday, March 15, 2007, CJEB and the Japan Business Association of Columbia Business School presented "Resurgence of the Japanese Economy: A Conversation with Takehiko Nakao."

Nearly 200 people gathered for the Eighth Annual Mitsui USA Symposium, Investors Unleashed: The Rise of Shareholder Activism in Japan, held on January 30, 2007 at Columbia Business School.
