Views Embed (Dynamic Feeds)
⚠️ Do not configure this component independently. Reach out to MarComms.
What it does: Embeds a Drupal View — a dynamic, database-driven content feed — directly on a page. The component selects from a pre-approved list of Views and supports display options like titles, descriptions, pagination, background colors, and whitespace controls.
Available views include: article listings, article card grids, blog embeds, faculty grids, event listings, award listings, scholarship listings, media mention lists, student profile lists, and more.
Configurable Fields (MarComms sets these)
| Field Label | Notes |
|---|---|
| Title / Subtitle / Description | Section header content — editors may be able to update these after initial setup |
| View Embed | Selects which View and display to embed — do not change this field |
| Link | Footer link |
| Alternative Background | Grey background toggle |
| Center & Constrain Layout | Width constraint |
| Blue Cards Display / Gray Cards Display | Article Cards view only |
How to Request
Contact MarComms with:
- The page URL where the feed should appear.
- What content you want displayed (be specific: content type, taxonomy tags, sort order).
- Desired layout (grid, list, etc.) and item count.
How to Update
- To change filtering, sorting, or the View itself: contact MarComms.
- To update content that appears in the feed: update the underlying content nodes (re-tag an article, publish a new event). The feed updates automatically.
- Section title/description fields may be editable by editors — confirm with MarComms which fields you can safely update.
