Research GRID Wiki

  • Columbia Business School provides a cutting-edge high-performance computing cluster server, named the CBS Research Grid, designed to support the academic research by faculty and doctoral students. This server utilizes sophisticated components including Dell servers, EMC storage, the Sun grid engine, and the Linux OS. Furthermore, it houses an extensive range of both contemporary and historical economic/financial databases, along with a vast assortment of statistical and mathematical software tools.
  • To request an account on the Grid, send an email message to: [email protected].
  • The Research GRID Wiki is an evolving knowledge repository that research faculty and staff at Columbia Business School can use to share “how to” short-cuts for using the GRID to access different databases, to run analyses, etc. It contains server information, sample codes, and other computing resources. VPN Connection (https://www.cuit.columbia.edu/install-vpn) is required to access the Research Wiki from off-campus sites.
  • ARCGIS mapping software – CBS has a site license for faculty and students to use ARCGIS on their individual laptops. To obtain a copy, please fill out a request online.
