Kenneth Carter
Ken Carter is the Founder and CEO of Ozeki, a Silicon Valley company building the future of agentic negotiations. He is a JD-MBA, award-winning lawyer and economist, including two-time GC of the year - Silicon Valley (2016) and American Lawyer (2021). He has been described as a “GC from the Future”. Ken was previously the General Counsel to Bitmovin and the Head of Legal and Policy at Cloudflare.
He has held senior positions at Google, WIK Consult GmbH, and the Office of Strategic Planning at the FCC. Before joining Cloudflare, Ken was Policy Counsel for Advanced Networks at Google and was responsible for developing the company’s global telecommunications policy strategy. He was previously a Senior Consultant at WIK Consult GmbH, where he developed a new mechanism for spectrum trading which can be as much as 80% more efficient than conventional auctions. As Senior Counsel at the FCC, he provided the Chairman and Commissioners, with financial, business, and market analysis regarding emerging trends and their implications for strategic policy objectives.
Ken began his career as the Associate Director (promoted to Deputy Director) of the Columbia Institute for Tele-Information (CITI) at Columbia University, the leading academic research institute focusing on strategy, management, and policy issues in telecommunications, computing, and mass media. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School, a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and a BA from Colgate University. He is the inventor on two United States Patents.
