Bootcamp Workshops

Complementing the core real estate curriculum, the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate introduced a new series of targeted three-hour intensive workshops this year called “Bootcamps.” Designed for business school students pursuing careers in real estate, these hands-on sessions provide opportunities to explore specific asset classes and industry sectors in greater depth through practical, practitioner-led learning experiences.

Data Centers Bootcamp - February 2026

Led by Brian Feldman ’17, Vice President of Development at Compass Datacenters, the Data Centers Bootcamp provided students with a comprehensive introduction to the data center ecosystem—one of the fastest-growing and most critical segments of real estate.

Topics included digital infrastructure foundations, data center market dynamics, finance, valuation, and the AI boom.

Hotel Ownership and Investment Bootcamp - March 2026

Led by Joe Smith ’99, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of 1754 Properties, the Hotel Ownership and Investment Bootcamp introduced students to the hotel sector and what makes hospitality a unique real estate asset class.

Topics included hospitality asset types; service providers; owner, lender, and operator objectives; and hotel branding and financing.
