Annual Center Report, Real Estate Circle

Real Estate Circle Image

The Real Estate Circle is Columbia Business School’s largest industry-focused alumni community, bringing together leaders from across the real estate industry through meaningful engagement, thought leadership, lifelong learning, and philanthropy. Representing more than four decades of graduation classes and a growing network of members across the United States and around the world, the Circle advances the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate’s mission by fostering meaningful connections among alumni, students, faculty, and industry leaders.

Throughout the year, the Circle offers more than 30 exclusive programs and events: signature conferences, regional networking events, virtual market discussions, site tours, small group dinners, member meetups, alumni-student engagement opportunities, and other thought leadership programs that provide members with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, expand their professional networks, mentor future industry leaders, and remain connected to Columbia Business School and the rapidly evolving real estate industry.

The Real Estate Circle is more than an alumni network. It is a community of alumni leaders committed to advancing the Center’s mission. At its core, the Circle is built on the belief that the strength of Columbia’s real estate community depends upon alumni who remain connected; invest in future generations; and contribute their time, expertise, and philanthropy throughout their careers. Through annual membership commitments, Circle members support student

fellowships, professional training, experiential learning, faculty research, alumni engagement, and other strategic initiatives of the Center. As part of this commitment, members enjoy exclusive networking opportunities, industry programming, and lifelong learning experiences that strengthen their connection to Columbia Business School and the broader real estate community.

In August 2025, the Circle expanded its alumni board to develop and drive its next phase of strategic growth.

CBS RE

CBS RE is the digital home of Columbia Business School’s global real estate alumni community, connecting graduates with fellow alumni, faculty, students, and industry leaders. It connects 2,000+ alumni and current students across 36 U.S. states (including Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico) and 39 countries, spanning graduation years from 1964 to 2027. Through CBS RE, alumni are notified in real time of alumni communications, industry news, upcoming events, faculty research, job listings, and broader community updates, ensuring continuous engagement across the global CBS real estate network.
