Real Estate Circle x ULI
Recognizing that many Columbia Business School alumni participate in leading industry conferences throughout the year, the Real Estate Circle launched a new initiative to bring alumni together alongside these events. The first such effort centered around the Urban Land Institute’s Fall and Spring Meetings, where the Circle hosted alumni gatherings in Denver, San Francisco, and Nashville, creating opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and expand the reach of the Columbia real estate community.
Networking Around the World
International alumni engagement remained an important focus in the academic year 2025–2026, with social gatherings held in Singapore and Tokyo, a site tour in London, and a thought leadership program led by Ankur Gupta ’12—Managing Partner; Deputy Chief Investment Officer; and Head of Asia Pacific and Middle East, Real Estate, at Brookfield—that discussed public partnerships and how Mumbai, one of the world’s fastest-growing and most complex cities, is adapting to rapid growth, shifting economic priorities, and increasing demands on infrastructure and development.
